California stops

So last night I went out with two gal pals to celebrate St. Pattys Day, and we couldn't find parking near where we wanted to go so we decided to park in a close by area then take a cab ride back to the original place. Well, while driving I get pulled over and I'm thinking "WTF?" Next thing I know, a 'female' officer (who looked like the combination of the original Buckwheat from Little Rascals and Heman ...for the purpose of today's blog we'll refer to her as HeBuck. So HeBuck comes up to my window and with a huge attitude speels off thsi long rant about how rolling stops are only permitted in California and are not permitted in the state of MD. I was like whatever. I saw someone get pulled over right behind me for doing the same thing. Luckily, HeBuck didn't give me a ticket but she gave me the speel AGAIN before she departed...emphasizing the California stops thing. Alrighty then!

Sweet Lasagna

Tonight's post is first regarding reason #2,568 why I should have been born blonde. Tonight I was at my cousin's bday party, and my Aunt had made this awesome Italian food (lasagna, meatballs, bread, etc...I was giddy) then I see what appears to be grated cheese so I excitedly ask my Mom to pass it to me and she does. I open and pour it out to realize it was what I thought was salt instead. "No big deal" I thought as I love salt anyway and could scrape it off. Well, right after that thought my Aunt was cracking up and announced that I had actually poured sugar onto my lasagna...smooooth. Amazingly my Mom scraped it off for me and I couldn't taste it anyway. I still felt like a total blonde though :).

The second part of this entry is dedicated to the massive suckage that is Daylight Savings Time. Spring Forward?! Who the hell thought of this crap? I just don't get it...since we Fall Back an hour, then Spring Forward, doesn't it balance out? Why even bother? I will just never understand.
