Falling into fall

So long, September! September for me was an interesting month. As annual tradition my allergies attacked. Work got busier and school started which means I lost my awesome fast commute in exchange for dealing with tons of traffic and underclassmen, le sigh. September also brought out a monumental occasion...my first fall in the middle of a college campus. That's right kids, I went to undergrad for four years...walked across a horribly icy bridge during the winter time for an entire year and the only time I ever fell was right in front of my own apartment (which faced off campus so it didn't count). O no, this fall definitely triumphed.

I had a great day...the kinda day where I was just asking for it. Work went well in the morning, class went well in the afternoon, then I had a great discussion after class with my professor. Well, leaving the academic building and somehow I missed the step out front. Next thing I knew...WHAM! I was on the ground with my books sprawled out next to me. It was like the classic campus freshman falls during a 1980s film moment. I got a massive bruise that is my latest battle scar and is still there now.

I guess I was falling into fall.

I guess he was haPEE they won

Went to my first Orioles game tonight...great weather :). The Os played he Red Sox and lost (as expected). The highlight of this evening, however, came in the most unexpected way. When I got home, I uploaded the pic I took of me and two friends at the game. Little did I know (until seeing the picture) what was behind us...

That's right kids, root for the wrong team and karma gets ya back....big time. This makes me smile :).

Life is good

Hi all! Well I have a positive update that life is going good! I have a good job, nice internship, school just started and I like my classes (after dropping the horrible one I had last night and replacing it with a good one). Most importantly, reality tv is getting back into full swing! That's right, there's only 18 days left until The Hills. Until then, I will survive on loves such as Project Runway, Top Chef, and Real World.

This past weekend I went to Virginfest for the first time...apparently it's not a christian festival promoting abstinence (damn). My new claim to fame is that, while there, Richard Branson almost tripped right over me. I really wish he would have actually fallen on me because right now I could be a millionaire. Instead I am living on dreams and spaghettios (yea yea, country music reference). Highlights of Virginfest included shrinky dink art, where you colored in an image and they put in an oven which shrunk it down, that was pretty awesome and made me think of Back to the Future (the magic pizza was always my favorite scene), getting free t-shirts (which we used as blankets) from the Dickies dude who was akwardly flirting with every female, and a girl falling out of a tree. Kids, leave tree climbing to the monkeys...or don't, because that was damn funny :).
