Airport woes

Wow, I haven't updated this in FOREVER but I had to share what happened to me at the airport today. My Dad (who was driving me there) and I left a few mins later then planned. As a result, I arrived at the check-in right at 11:30, 43 mins before my flight was to depart. Apparently, with a certain airline (I don't want to call them out or anything ::coughUS Airwayscough::), you HAVE to be there at least 45 mins in advance to check your bag. I stood there for a good 15 mins or so while they told me they couldn't check my bag and put me on the flight and they tried to get me on another flight. All the sudden, they said they COULD put me on the flight so then I had to run (not kidding you or exaggerating) the whole entire distance of the BWI airport, as my flight was literally at the last gate (figures!) I get to the last gate to see no airport staff and no planes in sight, so I'm thinking WTF?! I see a traffic controller and he says my flight must be at this other gate, so I go there and at that point it's already about 12:19, so they tell me I'm not there in time to get on the plane. Luckily they still let me on and I made it to the plan with about 5 mins to spare...phew! I got my cardio in for the day, that's for sure!

I look at this as hey I got to reinact one of the scenes from my favorite movies (Home Alone). I have never been so close to missing a flight, and I've come close before ;).
